SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Pepperdine women's golf team moved up two spots and is in fourth place after Tuesday's second round at the NCAA San Antonio Regional.

The top five teams will advance out of the regional and move on to the NCAA Championships and the Waves will start the final round eight strokes ahead of the team currently in sixth. Pepperdine has a two-day total of 591 (299-292) at the par-72 Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio, which leads #7 Auburn and trails #22 Oklahoma State by three strokes each way. The Waves are 10-strokes behind the current leader, #6 Texas A&M.

Pepperdine is competing in NCAA Regional play for the 24
th-consecutive time and is looking to advance to the finals for the 13
th occasion.

PLAYER SCORES
- Senior Reese Guzman (Kahului, Hawai'i) is tied for 12th with a two-day score of 146 (73-73). She posted three birdies in the second round.
- Freshman Jeneath Wong (Melbourne, Australia) has a score of 148 (77-71) to tie for 20th. She rallied from the first round to shoot 1-under in the second and move up 13-spots. She tallied five birdies in the round today, including four in the first eight holes played.
- Junior Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) is tied for 27th. She has a two-round total of 149 (75-74) and finished out the round today with three-straight birdies.
- Junior Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) and sophomore Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) are tied for 30th. Romero marked a 151 (74-77) and has collected on five birdies with two in the final three holes of the day. For her 151 (77-74) Gomez has added six birdies throughout the tournament thus far as well.

Pepperdine will be paired with Auburn and Denver for the third-round tomorrow. The Wavs will tee off on the first hole beginning at 6 a.m. PT.
