MONTEREY PARK, Calif. – The dominance of the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference will last one more year for the Pepperdine women's swim and dive program as the Waves rolled to their second consecutive PCSC team title on Saturday night at Swim Stadium on the campus of East Los Angeles College.
It was a complete performance from start to finish for the Waves, who won the event by more than 400 points over second place Azusa Pacific.
In total, Pepperdine set eight new school records, had 40 All-PCSC first team performances and won 10 PCSC event championships.
The Waves racked up the individual awards as well. For the third consecutive season, head coach
Ellie Monobe was named the coach of the meet, while diving coach
Monique Demaisip was named diving coach of the meet. After first and second place finishes in both diving competitions,
Amanda Wong (Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill HS) was named the diver of the meet.
Charli Sunahara (Chino, Calif./Ruben S. Ayala HS) had 91 individual points over the course of the championship meet, good for third overall.
This is the second overall team title for the Waves in program history as a member of the PCSC.
MEET RECAP
Lexi Haymart (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Ponderosa HS) continued her strong week, winning the mile in 17:13.32, just one second off a school record.
Ellie Hendren (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista HS) also earned All-PCSC first team honors in the mile with an eighth place finish in 17:54.67.
Pepperdine took the top two spots in the 200 back and had three All-PCSC first team performers, as
AJ Adams (Castle Rock, Colo./Valor Christian HS) took home the title in 2:02.12.
Kylie Taylor came in second in 2:02.74 while
Lindsay Hemming (Orinda, Calif./Miramonte HS) took eighth at a 2:07.73 pace.
The run continued in the 200 breast, as Sunahara won her second individual PCSC title of the week with a 2:18.49 time.
Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS) came in eighth (2:28.95) to also earn All-PCSC first team honors.
A pair of Waves were named All-PCSC first team in the 200 fly after top-eight performances.
Tay Thomas (Pleasant Hill, Calif./College Park HS) came in fifth with a time of 2:09.01, while
Lexie Deitemeyer (Golden, Colo./Golden HS) took seventh in 2:09.55.
Anna Ryan (Alamo, Calif./Monte Vista HS) earned league first team honors with a sixth place finish in the 100 free, doing it in 52.24.
In the final meet of the championship, the 400 free relay foursome of Browne, Hemming, Ryan and
Jenna Sanchez (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley HS) took third to earn All-PCSC honors.

Delainey Pisaruk have qualified for NCAA Zones in Federal Way, Washington, held on Monday, March 6. A select number of swimmers will head to Elkhart, Indiana for the National Invitational Championships from Thursday through Saturday, March 9-11.
