20 Waves Earn All-MPSF Honors

MALIBU, Calif. – After winning the 2025 MPSF Championship, the Pepperdine swim & dive program earned three of the five major MPSF awards, while a total of 20 Waves earned All-MPSF recognition.

Vivian Vallely (Newport Beach, Calif.) was named the MPSF Diver of the Year, head coach Ellie Monobe earned the MPSF Swim Coach of the Year award and diving coach Monique Demaisip garnered the MPSF Diving Coach of the Year honor.

Vallely had an incredible season, winning the MPSF Title in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter competitions as she posted respective scores of 256.05 and 270.45 at the championship meet. With the top spot on both boards, she earned herself a pair of first team all-conference honors. Additionally, Vallely earned the MPSF Athlete of the Week award on October 8, 2024 after qualifying for NCAA Zones on the 3-meter with a score of 283.50.

Monobe's MPSF Swim Coach of the Year award was her fourth postseason award at the helm of the Waves; she was previously named the PCSC Swim Coach of the Championship Meet in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Demaisip's Diving Coach of the Year award was her second postseason award as she earned the PCSC Dive Coach of the Championship Meet in 2023.

Along with the three major awards, Pepperdine had a total of 20 athletes earn All-MPSF recognition. All spots on the All-MPSF teams came from the placements at the championship meet. The top-three athletes for each individual event and the top relay team earned first team all-conference, while spots four through eight in individual events and the second and third place relay teams earned second team all-conference.
