Women's Volleyball Inks Three Top Recruits

MALIBU, Calif. — Head Coach Scott Wong and the Pepperdine women's volleyball team's coaching staff announced the addition of Maggie Beauer, Ella Piskorz and Chloe Pravednikov to the 2024 roster today. 
 
"The group that we have recently signed is a great start to our 2024 class," said Wong.  "They are not only talented, but each of them has the ability to keep us competing for conference championships and making deep runs in the NCAA championships."
 
Maggie Beauer – 6'2 – Chandler, Ariz. – Corona del Sol HS
Beauer helped lead Corona del Sol to a 2022 Arizona 6A State Championship title … Named 2023 AVCA All-Region … State semifinalists three seasons … Earned recognition on Nike Tournament of Champions Southwest All-Tournament Team … Played for Spiral Volleyball for seven years … Led Spiral to 2023 Las Vegas Classic first-place finish, Arizona Region Champions and 2023 AZNQ first-place.

Beauer says: "I chose Pepperdine for the high academic and athletic standards. The coaches and players provided a family like culture that made me feel welcome during my visit."

Wong says: "Maggie has a great touch on her first contact and has helped every team she has been on with her ball control and with her range as a left side or right side attacker."

Ella Piskorz – 6'3 – Mississauga, Ontario, Canada – Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School
Piskorz earned honor roll acclaim from freshman to junior years thus far … Played for Pakmen for four years, Halton for two and Leaside for one … Helped lead Halton to U17 Nationals and Provincials championships … Earned National All-Star acclaim … Led Pakmen to a U18 Provincials championship … Played on 19U Team Canada in two NORCECA tournaments and one Worlds tournament.
 
Piskorz says: "I chose Pepperdine because of the genuine impressions I got from the coaches and players.  I realized it would truly be a dream to play for this team, since I know that the strong team culture will develop me into a greater athlete."
 
Wong says: "Ella is a dynamic middle blocker that moves well and gets off of the ground to attack at a high point. She has been in the Canadian national team pipeline and has developed into a nice international player that will thrive while in Malibu"
 
Chloe Pravednikov – 6'3 – Long Beach, Calif. – Woodrow Wilson HS
Pravednikov earned valedictorian of Woodrow Wilson HS … Also a member of the Highest Pathway (Wave) … Played for Seal Beach Volleyball Club for six years and currently playing for Tstreet … Finished third-place at U17 Salt Lake City Showdown, second at U16 JVAs and third at U12 American at Nationals.
 
Pravednikov says: "I chose Pepperdine because of the beautiful campus and amazing coaching staff.  Getting to play Division I volleyball with such talented teammates has always been a goal of mine."
 
Wong says: Chloe is a talented outside hitter that has the ability to score at a high level from anywhere on the court and will carry a nice load for us throughout her time at Pepperdine."
 
This week, the Waves head to Santa Clara on Thursday, before returning home to host San Diego for Senior Day on Saturday.  A pair of wins this week would clinch the WCC regular season championship title for Pepperdine for the 12th time in program history and the first time since 2011.
