QUOTABLES
"I'm very impressed and excited about our program and the direction that things are going with our new conference," head coach
Ellie Monobe said. "We came into this knowing we were going to be the underdogs. We knew that we were going to have to step it up. I'm happy that we made UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego work hard for their wins. I'm very impressed with
Lexi Haymart who has been our distance stud as she pulled out one of the fastest in season mile swims that we've had at home.
AJ Adams continues to be on a roll and is gaining more and more momentum during this rough training cycle. I'm also impressed with freshman
Jordyn Larson and
Layla Busquets who are starting to figure out how to put the races together. I'm happy with
Ellie Hendren stepping up in the mile swim. Seeing her be able to flip the script and sprint for our relay team as well was awesome to see. Overall, we are very excited and looking forward to some rest and seeing some fast times here in the next couple of weeks."
NEXT UP
The Waves will have almost two weeks off before their next competition. Pepperdine will compete at the La Verne Invite and the Trojan Diving Invitational with both events being held from November 17-19.
