
Two Garner United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Honors

MALIBU, Calif. – Tori Waldeck and Taylor Bloom, of the Pepperdine women's soccer team, garnered All-West Region acclaim from the United Soccer Coaches. Waldeck highlighted with a second team nod, while Bloom tabbed a spot on the third team.
Waldeck (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS), a senior forward, earned the West Coast Conference's Player of the Year title while also tabbing a spot on the All-WCC first team. Earlier today, she was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squad. Previously in her career, she tabbed United Soccer Coaches All-West Region first team and All-WCC first team honors in 2021. She picked up All-WCC second team and All-Freshman acclaim in 2020 as well. This season, she started all 19 games, while leading the Waves with 11 goals – including three game winners. She also tabbed five assists and totaled 27 points, while commanding the field with 36 shots on goal out of 64 total shots.
Bloom (Huntington Beach, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS), a sophomore defender, was also named to the WCC's first team this season. She had tabbed All-WCC honorable mention honors in her premier season with the Waves in 2022 as well. This season, she had played in 15 matches and started in 13, helping the squad keep opponents to 1.11 goals allowed per game and seven shutouts throughout the year.
The Waves finished the season 9-5-5 overall, with a 6-2 record among West Coast Conference opponents to finish second in the league. Pepperdine also made the program's 13th all-time NCAA appearance.
