QUOTABLE
Pepperdine Head Coach
Tim Ward said: "First of all, USC has a tremendous program and we have a lot of respect for what they do. Having said that, I thought we played really well today. We created two fantastic goals and hit the bar three times. We also carved out some really good chances for ourselves. It's hard to go 90 minutes without conceding one or two chances against a team like that but I thought we did a nice job. It was really nice for all three keepers to get a shared shutout. The returners did a great job leading and the freshmen came in and were so good, and everybody in between. What a great way to start the season, but it's a scrimmage and we've got a long, long way to go, and we know that. It's a nice way to start the season for sure."
