#8 Men's Volleyball Faces Concordia Twice

MALIBU, California — Three weeks remain in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play and the #8 Pepperdine men's volleyball team looks to start building momentum toward the postseason with this week's home-and-home against Concordia.

MATCH #20 — Thursday (March 31) at the CU Arena in Irvine, California: #8 Pepperdine (12-7, 3-3) at Concordia (10-10, 3-5) at 7 p.m.

MATCH #21 — Saturday (April 2) at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, California: #8 Pepperdine vs. Concordia at 6 p.m.

WATCH/ONLINE — Concordia will stream Thursday's match, while Saturday can be watched online via WaveCasts on the WCC Network. Links to broadcasts and live stats can be found at PepperdineWaves.com.

HOME MATCH TICKET POLICIES — As of April 1, L.A. County regulations will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend indoor volleyball matches at Pepperdine. Masks are recommended, but not required. Tickets are available via e-ticket ONLY and must be purchased online before arriving onto campus. Due to campus construction, nearby parking may be limited and guests are advised to arrive early.

OPPONENT — Pepperdine is a perfect 8-0 all-time against Concordia in a series that began in 2016. The record is 5-0 in Firestone Fieldhouse and 3-0 in Irvine.

LAST WEEK — For the third time in three MPSF weekends this season, the Waves split the two-match series. Pepperdine lost to BYU in five before coming back a night later to sweep the Cougars in three in Firestone Fieldhouse. The Waves hit .332 over the eight sets and were led by Jaylen Jasper's 4.38 kills per set, Andersen Fuller's 1.38 blocks per set and Bryce Dvorak's 11.00 assists per set.

NATIONAL STATS — The Waves are in the top 10 in the nation in kills (12.93, fifth), hitting (.340, sixth), blocks (2.46, seventh) and aces (1.67, eighth) ... Bryce Dvorak is fourth in assists (10.57) and sixth in aces (0.54) ... Austin Wilmot is seventh in hitting (.430) and 10th in blocks (1.09).
