MALIBU, California – The Pepperdine women's track team hits the road for the final indoor meet at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
MEET DETAILS
The meet will be hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Some running events will happen on Friday night at 5:00 p.m. PT/6:00 p.m. MT, while the rest of the running events will begin at 8:45 a.m. PT/9:45 a.m. MT.
LAST MEET
Last weekend, Pepperdine had a stellar performance at the Portland Indoor Invitational. Freshman Kaley Peterson (Sunnyvale, Calif./Saint Francis HS) highlighted the meet winning the 60 meters in a time of 7.91, only 0.2 seconds short of the school record.
Senior Riley Wright (Chandler, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) had a fourth-place showing in the 600 meters in a time of 1:47.94. Freshman
Abigail Howard (Jefferson, Ga./Jefferson HS) was the top performer in the 60 meter hurdles. Howard posted a time of 10.17, which was good for sixth place. Junior
Olivia Miller (Tallahassee, Fla./Lawton Chiles HS) had the team's best time in the indoor mile, collecting a time of 5:29.85, which marked her name for seventh place. Junior
Skyler Danley (Easton, Pa./Easton Area HS) represented the Waves in the 3,000 meters in a time of 11:12.97. Pepperdine's top team in the 4x400m was senior

Alexa Ortega (Chatsworth, Calif./St. Genevieve HS), Peterson and freshman
Lauren Rocco (Port Orange, Fla./Spruce Creek HS), who clocked in at 4:10.21, which was good for a second-place finish.
