MALIBU, Calif. – Kelsey Adams,
Caroline Coleman and
Skylar Enge of the Pepperdine women's soccer team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District first team today.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 minimum grade point average, have participated in at least 50 percent of the season's events and have at least a sophomore standing both academically and athletically.
Adams (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS), a sophomore forward, is a sports medicine major and she earned West Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll "silver" honors last season. She has played in 28 career games. She scored her first goal against PCH Cup rival Loyola Marymount last season and has tallied four assists thus far as a Wave. Last season, Adams collected an assist during the first round of the NCAA Tournament when Pepperdine hosted and defeated South Dakota State 7-1.
Coleman (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East HS), a sophomore midfielder, is a pre-finance major and she earned WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll "silver" honors last season. She has played in 15 career games and collected her first collegiate assist this season when the Waves blanked San Diego 3-0.
Enge (Cardiff, Calif./Pacific Ridge School), a junior midfielder, is a sustainability major and a two-time WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll "gold" honors recipient. Enge has appeared in 51 games as a Wave and has one goal and two assists. Her goal last season came at the perfect time, when she scored in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against South Dakota State. This season, Enge assisted on the game-winning goal against LMU.
The Waves finished the 2022 season with a 9-4-5 overall record, and tied for fifth place in the WCC at 3-3-3.
