th overall.

RECAP
In the penultimate match of the 2021 dual season, the Waves took little time in dismantling the Cougars. In doubles, courts two and three quickly defeated their BYU opponents by scores of 6-4 each, earning Pepperdine the doubles point.
In singles, all courts won in straight sets with only one needing a tiebreaker.
Shiori Fukuda was first to the finish line on court three, demolishing BYU's Jiao 6-1, 6-0 for the 2-0 overall lead.
Astrid Olsen was next to the win column, defeating Wanlass in almost the same fashion as Fukuda- 6-2, 6-0.

Nikki Redelijk allowed only one point to her opponent through both sets to complete the 4-0 clinch at 6-0, 6-1.

Ashley Lahey needed a 7-6(3) tie break in her first set but put BYU's Abramyan to rest in the second at 6-2 for the 6-0 overall lead.

Taisiya Pachkaleva completed her 21
st-straight dual singles win this season on court two with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Heimuli. The phenom has yet to lose a match on an outdoor court this year.
