RECAP
Though the final score looks otherwise, the Waves fought to the clinch against the Bruins, beginning with doubles play. After a loss on court one, reigning WCC Doubles Team of the Week
Corrado Summaria and
Tim Zeitvogel went back and forth with UCLA's Pereira and Zahraj, but eventually fell behind and went under at 6-4, relinquishing the point to the Bruins.
In singles, three courts' first sets were in need of tiebreakers, as
Daniel De Jonge took a triumphant win over Goldberg on court three at a whopping 7-6(16-14). He was in route to earning the Waves' their first point of the day at 5-2 in the second set before the match was clinched.
Zeitvogel remained unbeaten as he won his first set 6-4 but split in the second at 5-7. His third set had just begun as the clinch point was awarded to the Bruins.
