MALIBU, Calif. – The 25^th-ranked Pepperdine men's tennis squad hosts the Washington Huskies to start the week off at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center before embarking on a five-match road trip.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Washington will bring their seven wins and five losses to SoCal, including wins over West Coast Conference opponents Gonzaga and Portland. Their five losses have come by the hands of #36 Tulsa, #37 Arkansas, #49 Oregon, #15 Arizona and #19 Arizona State.
 
The Waves stand 12-5 with the Huskies all-time, with the most recent match resulting in a 5-2 win in Seattle for Pepperdine during the abbreviated 2020 season. The lone ranked Washington player is Jack Davis, clocking in at #65.
 
SURF REPORT
In their most recent contest, the Waves defeated UC Irvine 6-1 as every single Pepperdine player won their court in singles play. Most notably was the return of Tim Zeitvogel, who earned the first win of the night at 6-2, 6-0 on court five.
 
Daniel De Jonge fought off his Anteater opponent on court two, needing a tiebreak to win the first set 7-6(2) before putting the match away at 6-4 in the second set.
 
Freshman Guy Den Ouden split his first two sets on court three before entering a tie break for the last set, eventually winning 10-7.
 
UP NEXT
The Waves will head to the Bay Area to begin their five-match road trip, kicking things off with WCC play at Santa Clara on Friday at 12 p.m. followed by San Francisco on Saturday at 1 p.m. Then, the guys will take on Cal in Berkeley on Monday with a 1 p.m. first serve.
