RECAP
Using the last slivers of daylight, the Waves kicked off the evening in doubles, ripping off the band-aid- splitting but dropping quickly on courts one and three.
In singles, however, Pepperdine flipped things around on the Anteaters. Joining the team for the first time this season was
Tim Zeitvogel, who kept his undefeated dual singles streak going with an easy dub over Thomas Smart on court five, 6-2, 6-0.
Speaking of unbeatens,
Pietro Fellin took no time in beating Mike Mkrtchian on court six to put the Waves up 2-1.
Adrian Oetzbach followed suit, winning 6-1, 6-3 on court one putting Pepperdine within a point to clinch.
Daniel De Jonge took the clinching honors this match after breaking a tie at 7-6(2) in his first set and then winning 6-4 to give the Waves the 4-1 lead.
All matches were played to completion, seeing
Guy Den Ouden finish next with a three-set thriller going 7-5, 5-7, 10-7 on court three.
Robert Shelton earned the last win of the night on court four after blanking his opponent 6-0, falling 7-5 in the second and then silencing the Anteaters in the third at 6-4 to end the night 6-1 for the Waves.
