RECAP
The Waves took to doubles to begin the afternoon, but dropped on courts one and three to succumb to the Wildcats.
The lost point didn't set the tone for the rest of the day, however, as Pepperdine three first-set wins on courts two, three and five.
Adrian Oetzbach snatched what was arguably the biggest win of the day, dropping the first set at 6-0 and then going 6-4, 6-4 to earn the first point of the day for the Waves over 50
th-ranked Ziverts.
Freshman
Guy Den Ouden followed suit, pushing through a long 7-6 first set that needed a 7-5 tie break to see a winner. He was done messing around, though, as he sent Arizona's Reguant to bed with a 7-5 second set and Pepperdine's second team point.
Sophomore
Pietro Fellin saw a big 7-6(3) win in his first set but eventually faltered in the last two.
Corrado Summaria did the same, delivering a 6-2 blow in his opening set but dropped the final two to put the final score at 5-2 in favor of the Wildcats.
