WAVEPOINTS
• The Pepperdine men's basketball team hopes to close out the regular season on a positive note when the Waves finish up at San Diego on Saturday afternoon.
• The Waves have had great success at USD in recent years, winning in six of their last seven trips there.
• Pepperdine is attempting to finish with a winning record in the WCC for the first time since 2016.
• In the latest KenPom rankings for determining the WCC standings and tournament seedings, Pepperdine is in fourth place.
• Colbey Ross continues to move up the WCC's all-time stat rankings. He's currently seventh in points (2,131), 38 away from LMU's Anthony Ireland and sixth place. He's third all-time in assists (804), 12 away from SMC's Emmett Naar and second place.
• Last month, Ross became the first player in program history and the 13th WCC player to reach 2,000 career points. Ross is now one of just three players in the history of Division I men's basketball to accumulate at least 2,100 points, 800 assists and 400 rebounds (with Gary Payton/Oregon State and Chris Thomas/Notre Dame).
• Among active Division I players, Ross ranks first in career assists (804) and free throws made (621), fourth in points (2,131) and eighth in scoring average (17.9).
• Ross ranks #4 in the nation and #1 in the WCC in assists per game (7.5). Ross is fifth in the WCC in scoring (17.5) and first in minutes (37.0).
• Ross added another Pepperdine career record on Thursday, passing Dana Jones and becoming #1 in total minutes played.
• Kessler Edwards ranks fifth in the WCC in blocks (1.0) and seventh in scoring (16.5) and rebounding (6.7). He's seventh all-time in blocked shots at Pepperdine (113).
• Sedrick Altman has been in double-figures in six of the last eight games (and scored nine in the other two) and is averaging 12.9 points in that time.
• Victor Ohia Obioha tied his career high on Thursday with 11 points vs. LMU.
• Pepperdine is #6 in the country in three-point defense (27.5%) and #16 in the country in free throw percentage (77.9%).

WAVECASTS — The San Diego game can be listened to online via WaveCasts at PepperdineWaves.com. Veteran play-by-play man Al Epstein, a 2015 Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame inductee who is now in his 36th season, will be behind the microphone. This will be his 1,090th consecutive men's basketball broadcast for the Waves.

WATCH — The game will be streamed online by Stadium (watchstadium.com). Steve Quis and Richie Schueler have the call.

PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #49 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
