RECAP
Starting off the day in doubles action, the Waves never gave the Bears a chance as
Daria Kuczer and
Lisa Zaar struck first with a 6-0 win over Cal's Bright and Nelson.
Ashley Lahey and
Astrid Olsen defeated Rosenqvist and Dunk 6-3 to clinch the point for Pepperdine.
The Waves then took to singles where no Pepperdine player dropped a set. Olsen grabbed the first Waves win on court five, defeating Cal's Stloukalova 6-1, 6-3 for a 2-0 overall score. The
#2 Ashley Lahey beat the #50 Rosenqvist 6-2, 6-1 before
#45 Anastasia Iamachkine defeated #28 Ivanov 6-3, 6-2 on court three to clinch the match 4-0 for the Waves.
Before the match succumbed to the foul weather, Zaar beat Bright on court four 6-2, 6-3 to make the final score 5-0 in favor of the Waves.
