MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's tennis team defeated Cal Poly 6-1 to remain unbeaten at 6-0, making it the program's best start since the 2006 season that saw the Waves win a national championship.
Two Waves players in
Adrian Oetzbach and
Tim Zeitvogel kept their respective records unblemished as Oetzbach has yet to lose this season and Zeitvogel has not been bested since March of 2019.

RECAP
Pepperdine began the day with a win on court two doubles, as
Corrado Summaria and
Tim Zeitvogel beat Cal Poly's Gary Vardanyan and Fernando Fonseca 6-1. Court three doubles faltered, however, forcing the tie-breaker on court one.
Daniel De Jonge and
Adrian Oetzbach took a 7-5 win to bring home the doubles point for the Waves.
In singles, the Waves won three straight as #47 Summaria delivered the first blow, going 6-2, 6-0 over Joe Leather on court two.
Enrique Luque Rico followed, winning 6-3, 6-3 on court three as
Daniel De Jonge clinched the match for Pepperdine in only his second match as a Wave, going 7-5, 6-4 over Antoine Noel on court one.
All matches were played to completion, seeing win for Oetzbach on court three (6-2, 7-6) and Zeitvogel on court four (3-6, 7-5, 10-4) who continued their respective unbeaten streaks. Oetzbach has not lost a match this season and Zeitvogel has remained unblemished since March of 2019.
