MALIBU, Calif. – No. 14-ranked Ashley Lahey of the Pepperdine women's tennis team continued her run in the 2019 Oracle/ITA Masters on Saturday, defeating yet another highly-touted opponent.

Senior #14 Ashley Lahey added yet another win under her belt as she enticed UCLA freshman Abbey Forbes, ranked fourth in the ITA Freshman/Newcomer standings. Lahey took the first set 6-4 and then ended the second 6-2 off of a flubbed ball by Forbes.  
 
Up next for Lahey is Forbes' fellow Bruin #4 Jada Hart, who was an ITA All-American singles selection last season and reached the 2019 NCAA Singles Quarterfinals in the spring. In the round of 16, Hart beat the #1 overall ranked player in Georgia's Katarina Jokic 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) to advance into the quarterfinals.
