MALIBU, Calif. – The 9^th-ranked Pepperdine women's tennis team controlled Gonzaga on Friday afternoon at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center, defeating the Bulldogs 4-0.

The win puts the Waves at 13-3 overall and at an unbeaten 4-0 in West Coast Conference play. Pepperdine continues their home stand Saturday as they take on Portland beginning at 12 p.m.

MATCH RECAP
Pepperdine cleaned house in doubles play, as pairs of Ashley Lahey and Daria Kuczer and Adrijana Lekaj and Dzina Milovanovic swept Gonzaga on courts two and three by scores of 6-0 each to claim the doubles point.

In singles, 81^st-ranked Jessica Failla finished off her Domonique Garley first, going 6-1 and 6-4 in the sweep on court three. On court two, Milovanovic finished almost simultaneously with Failla, defeating Haruna Tsuruta 6-3 and 6-1.

Needing only one point to clinch, Anastasia Iamachkine played the hero once again, sweeping Sara Komer 6-0, 6-3 and clinching the match for the Waves.

NEXT UP
The No. 9 Waves stay in Malibu to take on Portland at noon on Saturday. The Pilots currently stand 13-3 and 4-0 in WCC play, recording losses to BYU, San Diego and most recently to Loyola Marymount.
