RECAP
Coming off a heartbreaker in San Francisco, the Waves took their vengeance out on Santa Clara where pairs Enrique Luque Rico/Corrado Summaria on court two and Matias Sborowitz/Pawel Jankowiak on court three took lopsided victories over their Bronco opponents, going 6-2 and 6-4, respectively.

In singles play, all but one court won their individual matches, as Adrian Oetzbach and Luque Rico went unfinished, pushing their games into three sets. Summaria earned the first win for the Waves in singles, going into a tiebreaker and wiling 7-6, 6-2 over Jesus Barajas. Tim Zeitvogel was up next to finish, where he won 7-5, 6-2 over Rob Seay and putting Pepperdine up 3-1, needing one more court to clinch.

That court fell into the hands of Sborowitz, who has only lost one conference singles match, who needed yet another tiebreaker but won out 7-6, 6-4 and clinched the match for the Waves, 4-1.

NEXT UP
Pepperdine heads to Claremont, Calif. next week where they will take on the WCC Tournament, set to begin on Thursday, April 24th. Times and opponents are still to be determined.
