STOCKTON, Calif. – The #8 Pepperdine women's tennis team came out strong on Friday afternoon against West Coast Conference opponent Pacific, defeating the Tigers 5-0 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

After cruising through doubles with a pair of nearly uncontested wins on courts one and two, #80 Adrijana Lekaj, Daria Kuczer and Anastasia Iamachkine picked up singles victories to clinch the sweep.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
It was all Waves in doubles, as each pairing went up on the Tigers to open the action. #16 Jessica Failla and Anastasia Iamachkine finished first on court one, defeating Dohee Lee and Maya Lopez 6-0 to give the Waves the edge. Then, Adrijana Lekaj and Dzina Milovanovic finished off the action with a 6-1 win over Anneroos Nederstigt and Jacquie Tan on court two.

With the advantage, the Waves rolled towards some solid singles wins, with Iamachkine finishing first in the No. 6 slot, defeating Anna Ramos 6-1, 6-0. Then, Lekaj downed Nederstigt in the top-spot 6-3, 6-2 to put the Waves in a position to clinch.

Daria Kuczer would do the honors, downing Maya Lopez on court five with a 6-2, 6-1 final result for the overall win. Milovanovic would also finish her match simultaneously, picking up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jacquie Tan in the No. 4 position.

Tomorrow, Pepperdine will take on Saint Mary's in Moraga to continue with West Coast Conference action.
