#8 Women's Tennis Heads Up North to Face Pacific and Saint Mary's

MALIBU, Calif. – After a WCC sweep against PCH Rival LMU on the road, the #7 Waves will head to Northern California to matchup against Pacific and Saint Mary's on Friday and Saturday.
DUAL MATCH 13: #8 Pepperdine vs. Pacific | 12 p.m. PT | Friday, March 29 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center in Stockton, Calif.
DUAL MATCH 14: #8 Pepperdine vs. Saint Mary's | 11 a.m. PT | Saturday, March 30 at the Tim Korth Tennis Center in Moraga, Calif.
LOOKING AHEAD: Next, Pepperdine will be traveling to #9 UCLA on Wednesday, April 3rd.
THE WAVES: The Waves are currently 9-3 this dual season overall. Senior, #80 Adrijana Lekaj has composed the most singles wins for the Waves with 20, including the most wins for the Waves in the dual season with a 7-4 output. Anastasia Iamachkine claims the next highest record with 16 wins this season including going 6-1 in the dual campaign, Satsuki Takamura has five singles wins and Daria Kuczer has four, respectively.
Throughout singles tournament and dual action combined, #45 Ashley Lahey currently has a 12-6 overall season record, going 6-2 in the dual campaign. #71Jessica Failla has posted an 10-6 overall record and Dzina Milovanovic currently holds an 12-7 record on the season.
In doubles this season, the Waves have collected a 18-11 record for a .621 success rate. #16 Failla and Iamachkine have amassed a 11-6 overall record including going 6-1 against ranked opponents. The pair of Lahey and Kuczer are currently 4-0 in dual play.
OPPONENT NOTES: Pepperdine travels to Pacific first this weekend. All-time the Waves have gone 20-1 against the Tigers dating back to 1980 with their only loss being in 1987.
The Tigers are currently 4-7 this dual season, defeating Louisiana, San Jose State, Nevada, and Santa Clara. Pacific does not hold any ranked singles or doubles players.
Then, the Waves will head to Moraga, to matchup against the Saint Mary's Gaels. All-time the Waves have gone 21-4 against the Gaels, winning all of the last six matches they have had since 2015.
The Gaels are currently 5-7 this dual season, with wins against Fresno State, San Jose State, UC Davis, San Francisco, and Santa Clara. Saint Mary's does not have any ranked singles or doubles players.
LAST WEEK AGAINST LMU: Last week, the Waves traveled down the road to sweep PCH Cup Rival, LMU 4-0.
During the match, the Waves were faced by a battle in doubles, but prevailed as Adrijana Lekaj and Dzina Milovanovic took a 6-3 win on court three before Ashley Lahey and Daria Kuczer bested their opposition with a 7-6 final for the doubles point.
In singles, Waves were ahead on all courts throughout, but two-set wins from Anastasia Iamachkine, #80 Lekaj and Milovanovic sealed the deal for the 4-0 sweep.
