MATCH RECAP
Loyola Marymount got on the board first in the doubles competition, as courts one and three both ended in 6-3 results for the Lions. The match on court two was 6-5 in favor of the Lions when the point was clinched.
Pepperdine had the hot start in the singles session of the match. Summaria defeated Nava in straight sets, 6-4 6-3. Almost simultaneously, Sborowitz won his match on four, defeating Nguyen 6-2 7-6. Zeitvogel got the Waves to within a single match win of the overall win when he defeated Moreno in a tiebreak set 7-6 after winning the first 6-4. Rico won his first set 6-3 over Borchenko, but lost the final two sets in tiebreak games. In the match on one, Oetzbach won the first set 7-6 by tiebreak, and lost the second and third in the same way, both 6-7 tiebreak losses. In the final match on court, Jankowiak lost the first set 7-6, but forced a third set with a 6-4 second set victory before falling 5-2 in the third and final set.
