WAVEPOINTS
• Four West Coast Conference teams enter this weekend with four league wins, with the Pepperdine men's basketball team being one of them. Two of the others are set to visit Firestone Fieldhouse — Santa Clara on Thursday and San Diego on Saturday — so this makes for potentially a very important weekend for WCC Tournament seeding.
• Colbey Ross is fifth in the WCC in scoring (18.5) and first in assists (7.1). Nationally, he's sixth in assists and in the top four in free throws made (150) and attempted (178). He already made Pepperdine's top 10 lists for single-season assists and free throws made.
• In league games only, Kameron Edwards ranks sixth in scoring (17.9) and fourth in rebounding (7.6).
• In league games only, Eric Cooper Jr. is a remarkable 49.0% (24-for-49) from distance. With 60 threes overall, he needs just three more to break into Pepperdine's single-season top 10.
• Thursday features the top three freshman scorers in the WCC: Santa Clara's Trey Wertz (12.3) and Keshawn Justice (10.6) and the Waves' Kessler Edwards (9.7).
• In league games only, the Waves lead the conference in both three-point offense (39.5%) and three-point defense (29.0%).
• Fifteen times this season, it's been a five-point game or less in the final five minutes. Ten times this season, it's been a three-point game or less in the final minute.
• Lorenzo Romar has helped elevate the Waves as he begins his second stint as head coach. He recorded his milestone 400th career victory on January 12 at San Diego.
• The Waves matched their 2017-18 win total of six in their 10th game, and surpassed it with their seventh win in the 14th game. Their 10th win gave them double-digit wins for the first time since 2015-16.
• Saturday's home game vs. San Diego is the Waves' third WCC Game of the Week.

Veteran play-by-play man Al Epstein, a 2015 Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, will be behind the microphone (now in his 34th season, this will be his 1,027th consecutive broadcast for the Waves).

WATCH — Saturday is the WCC Game of the Week and it will be televised by Spectrum SportsNet, NBC Sports California, ROOT Sports Northwest and AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain, while it will be available on TheW.tv for all other markets. Christian Miles, Darren Cooper and Kirsten Watson are the announcers.

TICKETS — Single-game tickets for most Pepperdine home games are $25 for reserved seating, $15 for adult general admission and $12 for child general admission. Select premium games are $30, $20 and $12, respectively. Tickets are available via PepperdineWaves.com or by calling (310) 506-4935.

PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). The Waves have produced 205 conference championships, 318 All-Americans and 53 Olympians. Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #46 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
