WAVEPOINTS
• The second leg of the Pepperdine men's basketball team's Northern California road trip is Saturday night at Saint Mary's.
• The Waves are in a stretch of three consecutive road games against three of the top four teams in the West Coast Conference.
• The injury bug hasn't hit the Waves to quite the same extent this season, but Pepperdine was without two starters (Kameron Edwards and Jadé Smith) on Thursday. Edwards is out indefinitely while Smith may be back Saturday.
• Colbey Ross is fifth in the WCC in scoring (18.7) and first in assists (7.4). Nationally, he's fourth in assists, second in free throws made (180) and first in attempts (212).
• Ross, now eighth all-time in assists at Pepperdine with 371, needs one to get to seventh place and eight to get to sixth place. With 192 assists this season, he's 16 away from the school single-season record. He's also 18 free throws away from Pepperdine's single-season record.
• Eric Cooper Jr. has made 69 three-pointers this season, eighth on Pepperdine's single-season list. He's first in the WCC in three-point accuracy (43.4%) and second in makes (2.7).
• Among WCC freshmen, Kessler Edwards ranks third in scoring and first in rebounding and blocked shots.
• Seventeen times this season, it's been a five-point game or less in the final five minutes. Eleven times this season, it's been a three-point game or less in the final minute.
• Lorenzo Romar has helped elevate the Waves as he begins his second stint as head coach. He recorded his milestone 400th career victory on January 12 at San Diego.
• The Waves matched their 2017-18 win total of six in their 10th game, and surpassed it with their seventh win in the 14th game. Their 10th win gave them double-digit wins for the first time since 2015-16.
• Pepperdine's final regular-season road game is at #3 Gonzaga next Thursday.

WAVECASTS — Saturday's game will have an audio-only WaveCasts at PepperdineWaves.com. Veteran play-by-play man Al Epstein, a 2015 Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, will be behind the microphone (now in his 34th season, this will be his 1,030th consecutive broadcast for the Waves).

WATCH — Saturday's game will be televised by Spectrum SportsNet and NBC Sports Bay Area, and shown everywhere else on TheW.tv. Barry Tompkins and Dan Belluomini are the announcers.

PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). The Waves have produced 205 conference championships, 318 All-Americans and 53 Olympians. Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #46 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
