RECAP
In the Blue championship, Zaar began the day with a tough match against Yarlagadda from powerhouse North Carolina, where the first set needed a tie-break to move on. It was eventually Zarr who persevered and won the break 7-6(5) but lost the second set 3-6 to send the match into a super tie break that saw Zaar power through and win 10-8 to crown herself the Blue Draw Champion.
The Orange Draw championship saw two Waves faces as #14 Lahey and #32 Failla faced off for the title. The first set was neck-and-neck, as it required a tie-break where Lahey delivered the final say, going 7-6(2). The second set proved to be a bit quicker, however, as Lahey defeated her Waves teammate 6-1 to take the championship match.
