Ashley Lahey and
Jessica Failla both advanced in the Orange bracket championship and
Lisa Zaar advanced into the Blue bracket's finals at Ralphs-Straus on Saturday.

RECAP
Starting day three of the WCI in doubles, both pairs saw wins once more. The pair of
Ashley Lahey and
Lisa Zaar defeated the Georgia team of Christofi/Ma 6-4, as the ninth-ranked Pepperdine pair of
Jessica Failla and
Anastasia Iamachkine took a similar win over Michigan's Jones/Cerdan 6-4 as well.
No. 14 Lahey defeated her fellow West Coast Conference foe in #22 Solymar Colling in straight sets, going 6-3, 6-2 to send her into tomorrow's championship match. There, she will meet teammate #32 Failla, who won her own semifinal matchup over #13 Marta Gonzalez of Georgia. Failla blanked Gonzalez in the first set going 6-0, but found herself down in the second set. Failla fought back, however, and earned the 7-5 win to snatch the match.
In singles, freshman Zaar took her semifinal match over Annette Goulak of UCLA 6-3, 6-2. She'll advance and play in the Blue bracket championship tomorrow against UNC's Anika Yarlgadda.
Iamachkine fought but was dealt the #6-ranked player in Michaela Gordon of Stanford and dipped 6-2, 6-0 in her consolation match.
