WAVEPOINTS
• The Pepperdine men's basketball team, coming off an excellent road victory at San Diego, will aim to start a new run of home success against BYU when the Waves and Cougars meet on Thursday in a game that will be shown by ESPNU.
• Because of the WCC's new scheduling policy, this is the only time that the Waves and Cougars will meet in the regular season. Pepperdine had beaten BYU four straight times in Firestone Fieldhouse before the Cougars prevailed in overtime last year.
• Lorenzo Romar's second stint as head coach with the Waves is off to a good start. He recorded his milestone 400th career victory on Saturday at San Diego.
• Colbey Ross is coming off a career-high 27 points in the win at San Diego. He's fifth in the WCC in scoring (19.0) and first in assists (7.2). Nationally, he's seventh in assists and among the top four in free throws made and attempted (117-for-142).
• Kameron Edwards had a season-high 23 points in the victory at San Diego.
• The Waves lead the WCC and are 14th nationally in turnover margin (+4.3). Only once in 18 games has Pepperdine committed more turnovers than the opponent.
• The Waves also lead the WCC in three-pointers made per game (8.9). The Waves haven't finished in the top three in the conference in this category in a decade.
• The team's free throw percentage of 74.4% is on pace to be the second-best success rate in program history.
• The Waves matched their 2017-18 win total of six in their 10th game, and surpassed it with their seventh win in the 14th game.
• Although it's only the third week of the WCC season, the Waves will already play PCH Cup rival Loyola Marymount for the second time this Saturday at Gersten Pavilion.

WAVECASTS — Both games can be listened to online with WaveCasts at PepperdineWaves.com. Veteran play-by-play man Al Epstein, a 2015 Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, will be behind the microphone (now in his 34th season, this will be his 1,021st consecutive broadcast for the Waves).

WATCH — The BYU game will be televised by ESPNU. Eric Rothman and Adrian Branch are the announcers ... Saturday at LMU is the WCC Game of the Week and it will be shown on Spectrum SportsNet and NBC Sports Bay Area. Everywhere else, it will be shown on TheW.tv. Steve Quis, Ryan Hollins and Kirsten Watson are the announcers.

TICKETS — Single-game tickets for most Pepperdine home games are $25 for reserved seating, $15 for adult general admission and $12 for child general admission. Select premium games are $30, $20 and $12, respectively. Tickets are available via PepperdineWaves.com or by calling (310) 506-4935.

PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). The Waves have produced 205 conference championships, 318 All-Americans and 53 Olympians. Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #46 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
