This Week: The No. 8 Pepperdine men's water polo team begins its season on Saturday at the Bruno Classic in Providence, R.I., hosted by Brown University. The Waves will play four games over the course of two days in the tournament.

Game #2: Saturday (Sept. 1) at 1:45 p.m. PT at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center pool in Providence, R.I. : No. 8 Pepperdine (0-0) vs. #11 Harvard (0-0).
Game #3: Sunday (Sept. 2) at 7:50 a.m. PT at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center pool in Providence, R.I. : No. 8 Pepperdine (0-0) at #15 Brown (0-0).
Game #4: Sunday (Sept. 2) at 11 a.m. PT at Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center pool in Providence, R.I. : No. 8 Pepperdine (0-0) vs. #20 Bucknell (0-0).

Preseason Rankings: The Waves once again are near the top of the Water Polo national preseason rankings. The Collegiate Water Polo Association has Pepperdine ranked #8 in the nation before the season starts.
Golden Coast Conference: Last year, the Waves ended the regular season in fourth place, and finished fourth in the Golden Coast Conference Tournament, which they won in 2016.
Schroeder: Head Coach
Terry Schroeder is in his 26th year of coaching at Pepperdine. His first stint of coaching was from 1986-2005, after which he took an eight-year break to coach the United States National Team.
