MALIBU, Calif. - Three pairs from the Pepperdine beach volleyball team were named VolleyMob All-Americans, as announced by the online website on Monday morning. Skylar Caputo and Alexis Filippone tabbed first team acclaim, while both Madalyn Roh, Brook Bauer, Heidi Dyer and Gigi Hernandez tabbed second team honors.
This is the first year the platform has honored All-Americans and VolleyMob put a priority on recognizing the top performers on all five courts, honoring pairs with first, second and third team awards from all courts one through five.
Caputo and Filippone received the honors for their tremendous season playing in the No. 4 position for the Waves. The duo marked a 27-3 overall record, with a 23-3 record against ranked opponents.
