Pepperdine LogoMATCH RECAP
Pepperdine came out strong in doubles action, stunning the Yellow Jackets with big action on all three courts. #13 Mayar Sherif and Luisa Stefani would thrill the Waves' fans in the stands as they dominated #1 Paige Hourigan and Kenya Jones 6-3 to open the action with a Pepperdine win on court one. Then, #76 Evgeniya Levashova and Dzina Milovanovic bested #48 Ida Jarlskog and Victoria Flores with a 7-5 win in the No. 2 position to send the Waves into singles play with the win.

The Waves continued to battle in singles, but would eventually fall just short. Georgia Tech took a win on five to even the score, but #22 Sherif downed Johnnise Renaud with a pair of 6-4 set wins on court three to put the Waves ahead 2-1. GT countered with a three-set win on one and continued with another three-set win on four to gain the lead.

#17 Lahey battled back from a 7-6 (6) first set loss on two to win her second set 7-6 (4). She then downed #60 Kenya Jones with a 6-3 third set win to tie the match and put all eyes on court six. Although Milovanovic forced a third set and played valiantly point-for-point, the Yellow Jackets picked up the three set win to secure a spot in the NCAA Elite Eight.
