MALIBU, Calif. " The No. 2 Pepperdine women's tennis team dominated the courts against University of Pennsylvania at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon, commanding a 6-1 non-conference victory.
The Waves (8-1) clinched the match over Penn (5-8) with a two-set win by no. 28 Luisa Stefani on court one over Lina Qostal.

Although the Waves had the advantage, a withdrawal on court six resulted in the Quakers tying the action heading into singles play. Pepperdine was dominating on all other five courts, however, winning all first sets of action. On court two, No. 58 Levashova bested Ashley Zhu 6-0, 6-1 to help the cause and No. 105 Milovanovic was good for a 6-0, 6-3 win on court four over Rodriguez-Benito to put the Waves in a position to clinch.
Pepperdine would do just that as No. 28 Stefani defeated Qostal 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 position. The Waves then collected wins on courts three and five as No. 76 Laura Gulbe downed Ria Vaidya 6-4, 6-1 and Adrijana Lekaj bested OJ Singh 6-1, 7-5 to close the day 6-1 in the Waves' favor.
