- Freshman third baseman Billy Cook (Monument, Colo./Lewis Palmer HS) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.
- Freshman first baseman Brandt Belk (Houston, Texas/Westside HS) went 2-for-5 with a run and a double (his seventh on the year).

In the fourth inning Quincy McAfee beat out an infield single and advanced to second on a throwing error to get things going for Pepperdine. That's when Duncan McKinnon turned on a 2-1 pitch and lined it over the wall in right field to make it 3-1 Waves.
Pepperdine added to the lead in the fifth when Brandt Belk hit a one-out double and scored on a Jordan Qsar RBI single to right to make it 4-1.
BYU got one back in the sixth before Billy Cook hit a ball off the wall in left in the eighth inning for an RBI double to make the final 5-2. The Waves take on CSUN 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eddy D. Field Stadium in Malibu.
