
#2 UCLA Takes 4-1 Win over #1 Pepperdine

WESTWOOD, Calif. " The top-ranked Pepperdine beach volleyball team was felled by No. 2 UCLA at the Sunset Canyon Recreational Center on Tuesday afternoon, after the Bruins took a 4-1 final result.
Corinne Quiggle and Deahna Kraft closed out the match with a hard-fought three-set win for the Waves (15-3) in the No. 2-spot over the Bruins (19-3).

After a 4-0 Bruins' advantage, Deahna Kraft and Corinne Quiggle came out on court two ready to do battle. The Waves' pair won 21-17 in the opening set, but fell by the same result in the second. After going 13-13 and 15-15 with tied scores, the Waves' partnership closed the door and secured the 17-15 third set win to earn a point for Pepperdine.
