WAVEPOINTS
• The Pepperdine men's basketball team looks to continue its success at home in Monday afternoon's non-conference finale against Alabama A&M.
• It's a New Year's Eve doubleheader with the Pepperdine women taking on Gonzaga in the first game at noon.
• The Waves have already matched their 2017-18 win total, with their sixth victory coming in the 10th game.
• Lorenzo Romar's second stint as head coach with the Waves is well underway. Romar now has 397 career wins, three shy of a milestone 400.
• Colbey Ross is fifth in the WCC in scoring (20.1) and second in assists (6.8). Nationally, he's among the top five in free throws made and attempted (87-for-108) and he's 12th in assists.
• Eric Cooper Jr. needs just nine points to reach the 1,000-point milestone for his college career (which includes his time at Nevada).
• In the last three games, Jade' Smith has set new career highs with 10 and 11 rebounds. He ranks 11th in the WCC in rebounding (6.2).
• The Waves lead the WCC and are 32nd nationally in turnover margin (+3.7). Only one time in 13 games has Pepperdine committed more turnovers than the opponent.
• The Waves were hoping to stay healthy after being decimated by injuries the last two years. They lost 99 player-games in 2016-17 and 81 in 2017-18. But, last year's leading scorer, Kameron Edwards, has already missed 10 games, including the last nine.
• Conference play begins this weekend with a pair of home games. The Waves entertain PCH Cup rival LMU on Thursday (Jan. 3) and San Francisco on Saturday (Jan. 5).

TICKETS — Single-game tickets for most Pepperdine home games are $25 for reserved seating, $15 for adult general admission and $12 for child general admission. Select premium games are $30, $20 and $12, respectively. Tickets are available via PepperdineWaves.com or by calling (310) 506-4935.

PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). The Waves have produced 205 conference championships, 318 All-Americans and 53 Olympians. Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #46 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
