LOS ANGELES, Calif. " The Pepperdine women's basketball team fell to PCH Cup rival Loyola Marymount on Saturday in the Gersten Pavilion, 75-60.
The Waves (7-12, 3-6 WCC) faced an early deficit against the Lions (13-7, 5-4 WCC) with a 39-25 score at half. Despite a late second half comeback attempt, the Waves were unable to overcome en route to the road loss.

The Waves started off strong in the first quarter, with
Yasmine Robinson-Bacote getting five quick points for the game. The Lions fought back and with an 11-0 run and a 7-0 run, led the Waves by 12 at the end of the first. Pepperdine had a stronger second quarter, at one point going on a 7-1 scoring run, but another 10-0 run from LMU kept the lead in hand. LMU led by 14 going into halftime with a 39-25 score.
The Lions never gave up the lead, eventually pulling away by as many as 21 points in the second half. Pepperdine started to inch closer to the opposition in the fourth quarter outscoring the Lions 26-22, but Loyola Marymount was able to put the game away with a 75-60 final score.
