
Waves Fall on the Road to Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. " The Pepperdine women's basketball team fell to Santa Clara by four points on Saturday, 54-50. Yasmine Robinson-Bacote was the sole Wave with double-digit points with 18.
The Waves fell to 7-13 overall and 3-7 in the WCC, while the Broncos improved to 7-14, 3-7.

Yasmine Robinson Bacote led the Waves with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Barbara Sitanggan had four assists on the night.
Tylinn Carter had eight points and six rebounds.

The Broncos outshot the Waves 38.2% to 27.8%.
The Waves out-rebounded the Broncos 38-35.
Pepperdine only had four three pointers on the night, their second-lowest total of the season.

The Waves were down by as many as 15 points in the second quarter, but came back and tied the game at 41 with 5:40 left in the game on a Robinson-Bacote jumper. The Broncos, who led 28-18 at half, would regain the lead soon after, but again the Waves tied it at 43 with 4:00 on the clock, this time on a breakaway layup from Paige Fecske. Kim Jacobs tied the game yet again at 46 with a three-pointer with three and a half minutes to play, but the Broncos had a couple of defensive stops, and the clock ran out for the Waves' comeback.
