MALIBU, Calif. -- Five of the Pepperdine men's tennis team advanced to the ITA Southwest Regional round of 32 on Thursday night after winning through the opening two rounds of action. The Waves and USC are the only two teams to advance five or more singles competitors to day two. Pepperdine also had one doubles partnership survive a grueling day one.

Seniors Pedro Iamachkine and Lautaro Pane, redshirt-junior Nicholas Baez and freshman Brian Berdusco all defeated opponents to move on. Iamachkine and Pane also won their doubles match-up and will play again tomorrow in the round of 16 starting at 9 a.m.
