
Seabert, Visalli, Baisden Earn All-Region Honors

MALIBU, Calif. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its NCAA Division I Women's Soccer All-Region Teams recently and three Pepperdine players earned the honor. Hannah Seabert and Bri Visalli were named to the All-West Region second team and Rylee Baisden was named to the third team.
It is the second All-Region honor for both Seabert and Visalli and the first for Baisden, and comes after the players helped lead the Waves to their ninth NCAA Tournament appearance and third ever West Coast Conference title.
Seabert (Riverside, Calif./Woodcrest Christian HS) was named WCC Goalkeeper of the Year this season after starting every game and leading the team to a program record-tying 11 shutouts on the year. She posted 77 saves and a 0.68 goals against average, which was the 26th best average in the country this year. Her 77 saves helper her set a new career mark for Pepperdine in that category, as she finished her stellar four years in Malibu with 331 total. Seabert was also named to the All-West Region third team in 2014.
Visalli (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS) was named to the All-WCC second team this season and was an All-West Region third team honoree in 2015. The junior midfielder finished the year with the second most points on the team, scoring five goals and posting one assist. All five of Visalli's goals this season were game-winners for the Waves.
Baisden (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) was Pepperdine's leading scorer this season and was named to the All-WCC first team as a senior. The Pepperdine forward was responsible for 18 total points this season, scoring six goals and posting six assists to lead the team in both categories. She scored three game-winning goals and her six assists were the third most in the WCC this season.
Pepperdine finished the year 12-5-4 and made a run into the NCAA Tournament's second round before falling to North Carolina State. It was the sixth time Pepperdine has advanced out of the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Waves finished 7-1-1 in WCC play to earn the conference's automatic bid to the postseason.
