TARZANA, Calif. - A 40-minute rain delay late in the first round of the Bruin Wave Invitational prevented teams from completing 36 holes on Monday, and play was suspended due to darkness. The Pepperdine women's golf team is currently in eighth place.

The 15 teams have two to three holes left to complete the second round. Play will continue at 8 a.m. on Tuesday at the par-72 El Caballero Country Club, and once the second round is done the third and final round will begin immediately.

The Waves were in 11th place at the conclusion of the first round but have moved up three spots. Though second-round scoring is unofficial at this point, Golfstat shows the Waves at 13-over in the second round, one of the better scores of the afternoon.

Currently on the individual leaderboard, freshman Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) leads the Waves with a tie for 10th place at 4-over, while senior Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is tied for 16th at 6-over.

Junior Marissa Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) is tied for 40th, senior Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) is tied for 54th and freshman Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 62nd.

Competing as individuals, sophomore Alessandra Arza (Asuncion, Paraguay) is tied for 51st and sophomore Andrea Unson (Manila, Philippines) is tied for 72nd.

Washington led UCLA by two strokes after the first round and according to Golfstat, the third-ranked Huskies now have a 12-shot advantage over San Diego State. Stanford's Lauren Kim leads all individuals at 1-under.
