Round 1 Results 
PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's golf team got its spring season underway on Sunday with the first round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
The Waves are in 12th place after an opening-round 302 at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. It's an outstanding field, as 10 of the 16 teams are ranked in Golfstat's top 25 (Pepperdine is #11).
Junior Marissa Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) leads the Waves after a 73 put her into a tie for 18th place. She had a total of four birdies during her round.
Freshmen Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia/Shenton College) and Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C./Zhuji Hailiang Private School) are both tied for 36th place after 75s. Senior Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is tied for 75th at 79 and senior Somin Lee (Denver, Colo./Overland HS) is tied for 84th at 82.
The second round is on Monday - the Waves will tee off on the 10th hole beginning at 9:12 a.m. along with Alabama, Washington and UCLA - and the third and final round is on Tuesday.
