Round 2 Results

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Marissa Chow is tied for 10th place after Monday's first two rounds of the UC Irvine Invitational, while the Pepperdine women's golf team is tied for eighth place.

The Waves shot a 293-302 for a total of 595 at the par-72 Santa Ana Country Club. Pepperdine is part of an impressive field that includes seven top-25 teams. The #20 Waves are tied with #19 UNLV. The third and final round is on Tuesday.

Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS), a junior who was an All-American a year ago, shot a 1-under 143 (73-70). She had four birdies in each round.

Senior Alina Ching (Honolulu, Hawaii/Punahou School) is tied for 26th place at 148 (71-77), freshman Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 32nd at 149 (74-75), freshman Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 56th at 155 (75-80) and sophomore Alessandra Arza (Asuncion, Paraguay) is tied for 62nd at 158 (78-80).

Zhu had seven birdies on the day. Ching had an eagle on the par-5 15th hole during a 1-under first round that also included five birdies.
