MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine baseball team has set the dates for its annual Blue and Orange World Series, with the event starting this week on Thursday, Nov. 12.

Game two of the series will be played on Saturday, Nov. 14 and the third and final game will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Check back in at PepperdineSports.com or follow @PeppBaseball on Twitter for updates on start times for the series.

The games are intersquad competitions that give fans their first chance to get a look at the 2016 Waves team. They also serve as the culmination of the fall practice season. All three games will be played at Eddy D. Field Stadium and will be open to the public.

Pepperdine is coming off its second consecutive West Coast Conference Tournament title and NCAA postseason appearance last year. The Waves finished the season 30-27 overall and 17-10 in WCC play. The team brings back the majority of its young talent from last year's squad, losing just two regular starters to the MLB draft.

Head Coach Rick Hirtensteiner begins his first season at the helm for the Waves, taking over the team after serving as an assistant with the program for 17 years.
