MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's soccer team made yet another jump in the polls this week, climbing to No. 7 in the NSCAA Coaches Top 25 Poll.
The Waves also moved up two spots to No. 8 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings and sit at No. 9 in the Soccer America ratings. Pepperdine is currently 14th in the NCAA RPI ratings.
The Waves are the highest ranked WCC team in the NSCAA poll, with BYU sitting at No. 19 and Santa Clara receiving votes.
The No. 7 ranking is the team's highest this season and comes after a win and a tie on the road last week. The Waves played to a scoreless draw at Saint Mary's and then exploded for four goals in the last 15 minutes in a 5-0 win over Pacific to close the week.
Pepperdine is now 12-1-2 on the year, giving the team the best record in program history through 15 games since the 2002 squad also went 12-1-2. The 2002 team finished the year 18-2-2, made a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and achieved the highest final-season ranking in program history at No. 5 in the country.
The Waves have one game on the schedule for this weekend as they host San Diego at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
