MALIBU, Calif. - The Pepperdine track teams had a good showing at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on Saturday in their final full performance of the 2012 season.

With finals and graduation coming up, only a few select runners will continue competing with an eye on NCAA qualifying times.

One of those runners, senior Lauren Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton HS), continued her record-setting season with her effort in the women's 1,500 meters. She broke her own school record by almost three seconds, placing fifth (second among college runners) in a time of 4:34.32. Her old record was 4:37.31 set in Northridge on March 17.

All six races by Lodge during the 2012 season have resulted in a new school record. In addition to the 1,500 meters, she also holds the 3,000 and 5,000 marks.

Junior Jonathan Rahaeuser (Irvine, Calif./Calvary Chapel HS) also posted a top-10 finish thanks to a personal-best in the men's 5,000 meters. His time of 15:14.06 was good for eighth place (fifth among college runners).

Junior Sara Woods-Decker (Phoenix, Ariz./Horizon Honors HS/Chandler-Gilbert CC) led the Waves in two events, the women's 100 (where she set a PR) and 200 meters. Other top times were turned in by freshman Erin McConlogue (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Mira Costa College/Palomar College) in the women's 400 (in a PR time) senior Aneasha Lawrence (Simi Valley, Calif./Village Christian HS) in the women's 800 meters and junior Wesley Blundell (Brush Prairie, Wash./Prairie HS) in the men's 1,500 meters.
