Coe, Adesida Win Heats At North Florida Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Junior Elizabeth Coe and freshman Divine Adesida each won their respective heats in the 1500m and 200m Saturday during the second and final day of competition at the North Florida Invitational.

Coe (Fountain Valley, Calif./Fountain Valley HS) won the third heat in 5:03.71, while Adesida clocked a time of 27.25.

Junior Jordan Wozniak (Irvine, Calif./Woodbridge HS) also ran well this afternoon, placing 23rd overall in the men's 1500m with a mark of 4:10.94. Head coach Robert Radnoti said Jordan "put up his best racing effort, which is what we're focusing on now."

The team concludes it week-long stay in the Sunshine State tonight with dinner on the beach and then will return home to California Sunday.

The Waves return to action next Saturday at the Northridge Invitational. The multi-team meet is listed as an all-day event.
