Fanselow Falls Short in Consolation Final

TULSA, Okla. - Sebastian Fanselow fell just short in the consolation finals of the ITA All-American Championship. #3-ranked Eric Quigley won to earn the automatic bid to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 4-6 in Flushing, N.Y.
Fanselow will get another chance to earn his spot at the national event on Oct. 20-24, when the Waves host the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional. The junior All-American enters the event as the reigning singles champion.
Fanselow, ranked #10 in the Campbell's/ITA Collegiate singles rankings, lost 6-3. 6-3 to Kentucky's Quigley, who is listed as the #3 singles player in the NCAA.
To get to the consolation finals, Fanselow recorded four solid wins to bring his season record to 4-2. His only losses have come to top-10 ranked players.
The Waves return to action next weekend, Oct. 14-16, when they compete at the Battle of the Bay Classic in San Francisco, Calif.
