Anderson Ties for Fifth at Waves' Final Fall Event

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Senior Josh Anderson posted a fifth-place finish to lead the Pepperdine men's golf team at the rain-shortened UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate on Sunday. It was the final tournament of the fall for the Waves, who tied for 10th place in the team standings.
The tournament changed to 36 holes at the par-72 Forest Oaks Country Club after a weather delay on Saturday. The Waves had a strong finish, as their 294 today moved them up from 14th place and into a tie with Mississippi at 594.
Anderson (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley HS) shot his second straight even-par 72 and tied for fifth place with two others at 144. He had a total of four birdies during his second round, including three over the final four holes.
Junior Johnny Mac Arthur (Newhall, Calif./Hart HS) had the best round of the day for Pepperdine, as his 2-under 70 moved him up 32 spots in the standings and into a tie for 12th place with a 2-over 146 (76-70). He also had four birdies.
Sophomore Parker Page (Louisville, Ky./Ballard HS) also had a good finish with a 1-under 71 with a total of five birdies. He moved up 32 spaces and tied for 43rd place at 151 (80-71).
Sophomore Alex Forss (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak HS) tied for 67th place at 155 (76-79) and freshman Caston Roberts (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert Christian HS) took 77th at 158 (81-77).
Pepperdine resumes play in the spring season at the Arizona Intercollegiate (Jan. 30-31).
