After rain plagued the first two rounds, good weather led to improved scores during Tuesday's third and final round at the par-70 Stanford Golf Course. Although the Waves weren't able to move up after starting the day in eighth place, they shot a 1-under 279 to give them a total of 855 (287-289-279), tied with San Jose State.
Junior Andrew Putnam (University Place, Wash./Life Christian Academy) had his best finish since early March and his fourth top 10 result of the season. He tied for eighth place with a 2-under 208 (68-69-71) after going 1-over during his final round. He had one birdie, a double-bogey and 16 pars on Tuesday.
